Hiring a Sheetmetal Shop Foreman
We design, builds and integrates turnkey conveyors, process and packaging systems for sanitary food / beverage and cosmetics applications.
Job Description:
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Orderly and efficient operation of facility during an assigned shift
- Ensure all projects are completed in a safe, cost effective and timely manner
- Monitors the shop floor to see that procedures are being performed safely
- Track and train all fabricators and improve their skillsets
- Maintain orderly and efficient workflow
- Maintains the Company’s Safety Culture, promotes a safe work environment and in compliance with Federal and State regulations by conducting safety meetings, mock OSHA Inspections, modeling safe work habits, etc.
- Inspects completed projects to ensure equipment is up to company standards
- Administers necessary discipline for adherence to shop floor reporting procedures
- Inspect/examine products and materials for defects or deviations from specs
- Promotes progress through positive change, continuous improvement and actively contributes to the teamwork concept
- Recording supporting data and documentation for all stages of inspection, including Final inspection
- Accurately complete paperwork for quality tracking
Qualifications:
- 10-year minimum of TIG welding experience
- 7-year minimum of experience in manufacturing shop, with 5+ years of experience in a Foreman or Supervisor role overseeing a welding/fabrication shop
- Ability to communicate and work well with people on all levels of the organization
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong basic math skills
- · Experienced in Quality Control and Equipment Testing
Salary is based on experience plus health, dental and 401K benefits. Interview requirements include completing a 16 gage 304 Plate and Pipe Test (stainless). Custom Conveyor Fabrication and Food Processing experience a HUGE PLUS!!
